Elizabeth Street from Melbourne Central to Bourke Street and short walk on Bourke Street as shown on the map below.Today I noticed for the first time some interesting shops on Elizabeth Street.
One of them is Michaels Camera Video Digital - retailer of new and second-hand cameras and accessories, including film, photo paper, chemicals and more. The address is 265-269 Elizabeth Street (corner Lonsdale Street). This is not the only photography related shop in the area so if you are interested in this field see also the other shops.
If you are interested in getting a motorcycle/bike there are some shops here - Melbourne Central exit to Elizabeth and go down to Lonsdale Street/Bourke Street (on the right side of the road).
Below is the historic Melbourne General Post Office (GPO) reopened in August 2004 as a fashion, food and shopping center. It is located on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth streets.

The traffic is great in the CBD as if you come here by car you have to pay for the parking (that is if you are not a manager and have your own parking space in the salary package). The trains are (almost) great and bikes/motorcycles are an option so I think the car is at least on 3rd place in the preferences list.
This is in the morning, it usually gets more crowded around 6pm.
